How To Pay For Shipping

Greetings to all, it has begun!

As mentioned we have begun sending out shipping costs to our backers starting with Air Freight first. If you have not received your invitation please be patient it will arrive. We want to give you a quick overview of what you can expect and will need to do once you have received your invitation to pay.

Once you receive your email invitation, proceed to the shipping payment page on the official realgamefx website for your shipping charge. It is imperative that you pay promptly for your air freight as they will begin shipping this month. If you do not pay for your air freight shipping it will be put on the boat to USA and ship out in Late Feb.- March 2018.

Your email will contain the cost of your unique shipping cost. You will choose your preferred method of payment and enter the combined amount of your shipping cost and pay with your credit card.

Your package size and the number of packages you will be billed for will depend on the size of your order. For example, those who ordered a simple Fog Monster with only a few small add-ons will receive one package price. Those who ordered 1 Fog Monster plus several pipe add-ons will be split into more than one cost effective packages to save on freight. We will try to bundle multiple packages into one when possible to save on cost.

This is especially important for Air Freight customers with pipes as volumetric shipping, vs standard weight, plays a major role in the cost of shipping. See explanation here

January Update 1 - Assembling The Fog Monster!

Calling all Monster Lovers!

We are here to announce the Fog Monster is moving quickly through assembly and on to packaging! We have received production samples and given approval to all molds and the factory is assembling the Monster. First shipment is being prepared for all Air Freight customers this month. You will be receiving your shipping costs by email shortly after this update. Please pay them promptly so we can get your order out to you asap.

Why air freight customers first? Because air freight customers have expedited shipping for the Fog Monster direct from the factory. Free shipping customers, and domestic shipping offered in the USA will be sent from the factory by boat which takes approximately 30 days to arrive in our warehouse and is then shipped by ground transport. All customers in the USA will be receiving their shipping costs next.

1. Free Upgrade To All Backers, a proprietary 3 way power supply. - As mentioned in a previous update, we decided to create a 3 plug power supply for our powered components, namely the Water Pump, Transducer, and Pressure Fan. If we had not done this our customers would have needed 3 separate power plugs to run the Fog Monster. (Fun level = 0) Now you can plug all 3 into a single source!

In addition to the extra mold costs, it also meant purchasing FCC and CE conformity compliance certification on both power supply and Fog Monster for importing into USA and Europe. The factory informs us that all products to EU have been reviewed and will receive CE marking, along with paperwork for conformity compliance certification. The 24v Transducer plug will be marked by a white cord in order to avoid confusion with the other two 5v plugs for the fan and water pump. The cost is something we picked up as we are in this for the long haul and it is our desire to present a world class product to our customers, enjoy!

2. Travel to the factory for final revisions and packaging.  One of our representatives will be flying to the factory to oversee the final details and packaging in the next week (provided our connecting flight up to Toronto Canada has thawed out!). We have been in constant contact with the factory throughout the manufacturing process but there is nothing like a hands on visit to make sure everything is in order. We will update you once our rep. arrives.

Onward and upward. Once again we want to thank everyone of our backers for helping breathe life into the Fog Monster we can't wait to see what awe inspiring scenes you will create. Please be sure to send us your pictures and videos of your game terrain when you can. We will have another update for you before the end of the month with more details.

December Update 2 - Resin Factory Samples & Clear Fog Monster Satin Finish

December Update 2

Greetings Monster Lovers, hope everyone is doing well!

Squeezing in one more update as we approach years end. We have some exciting previews of the factory samples of the Dark Crypt, Saber Tooth Skull, Storm Drain, Light Box, and Clear Fog Monster Case with Satin finish that arrived, we will take you on a quick tour in the videos below. 

We are currently in full production and on schedule for mid to late January for shipping. Remember, International customers will be receiving delivery first as they are paying for air-delivery direct from the factory.

Free shipping orders to USA will arrive in our warehouse in the USA end of February 2018 and begin shipping in March. If you are a USA backer and would like pricing on air delivery be sure to let us know and we will give you pricing for express delivery.

December Update 1 - Custom Power Supply

Greetings Monster Lovers!

Just a brief update on the custom power supply we are manufacturing for the Fog Monster, Fan, and Ultrasonic transducer. All three of these components have different power requirements and the simple solution was to supply 3 power supplies with power cords. What we were able to do instead is develop a 3-way power supply to help cable management. We have received some pics from the factory showing the PCB design.

 

This will allow simple plug and play for add-on components.

We also looked at the cables with the idea of providing a sufficient length that will allow practical positioning of the Fog Monster in relation to the game and wall plug.

 Another advantage of the plug-n-play components is easy removal of parts so you can clean your Fog Monster. We recommend thinking of the Fog Monster as you would a cup, cleaning, and letting it dry, once you are through using it. You never want to allow water to sit inside a container over any extended period of time as it may begin to collect bacteria, so regular washing out and rinsing of the parts is recommended. We will have more on properly maintaining your Fog Monster as we are ready to ship.

In the meantime you may want to consider looking at Hunter 31960 Demineralization Tablets here to help keep scale and minerals from building up inside the water. Depending on where you live hard water can produce scale from minerals which can build up on surfaces. These tablets help reduce that scale and purify water.

As you can imagine this will quickly stain the clear plastic and our factory is suggesting  going to a clear satin looking plastic for the Clear Fog Monster. We think this is a good idea as it will still transmit light from inside if you choose to do so but will also maintain a desirable look throughout it's lifetime.

All manufacturing is currently underway, we will be receiving sample parts from our factory soon and we will post an update with some pictures when we do. As of today we are still on track for our target date of our factory beginning shipping in January.

Our factory informed us that China had a 10 day shut down of factories to curb pollution but we are happy to say we were not effected by that.

New 4"x4" Cavern Fog Terrain Piece Available For Backers!

Introducing "Spine Tooth Cavern" Fog terrain piece.

We heard your requests for natural terrain and agreed. So we went back to the studio and hand sculpted a terrain piece for the Fog Monster to give a more natural look to the fog entering your terrain. With that in mind we also took into account typical 2"x2" terrain pieces and designed it to fit perfectly into a 4"x4" square (ideally suited for placement in an exterior wall). The Large diameter 40mm pipe fits perfectly into the back of the Cavern for seamless integration between the fog monster and your game terrain.

Delivery time:  It takes approximately 30 days to create a mold and cast the parts in resin which means there is still time to finish production prior to January.

Does this mean it will be ready to ship with your order? Not necessarily. We are not going to delay current Fog Monster Kickstarter shipping for any new add on pieces we make available in our store. We are also getting ready to send out your shipping costs based on your current order, so we have to be careful not to reset those costs, however, as this is a 4x4 piece there is a possibility that we may be able to place it somewhere in the packing in your existing order. The weight should be negligible. Bottom line is, if we can we will, if not it will be a separate order and you will be billed for separate shipping costs.

What will help us to know if we can include it in your  Kickstarter shipping box? It all depends on the numbers so place your order asap! If we can get enough orders for this piece in the next couple weeks it will move to priority status with our mfg., so if you like what you see place your order now!

Finish:  All models are exquisitely hand crafted by our artists and will come unpainted. This is truly a unique one of a kind piece and we hope you will add it to your collection!
