In celebration of hitting over 60% of our goal in just over 24 hours we are releasing a surprise reward to our awesome backers!

The clear Fog Monster Mini Fog Machine was a favorite choice during our poll for the best looking machine and now we are making it available in the rewards in limited numbers.

The manufacturer tells us the pricing is a little extra due to the nature of the clear material so this does not fall under the early pricing rewards but it is very close!

The advantage to the clear is you can watch the fog process or shall we say the Fog Monster as it appears inside and flows onto your terrain. Together with the clear tubing in the Fog Works Stretch Goal it should provide an entertaining amusement. 

Second advantage is of course the lighting effects. The fog just looks spectacular when lights are placed in the fog and with the addition of the Light Pods (when they are released) should make for a great light show.

One note the clear ABS plastic is not as crystal as acrylic but is more durable and less prone to cracking. It is also less expensive than Acrylic. We think it is the better choice. The clear material also needs to be kept clean as mineral deposits will be more apt to show if not maintained.

Get them while they are available, and watch the Fog Monster appear before your very eyes!

We are over 80% of the way there on only day three :)

  We are looking at a question that has come up a few times from backers, so we did a quick video demonstrating the simple physics of how the low pressure of the Fog machine to can be trapped and force it up vertically an out a steam vent or manhole cover.

For a more powerful effect you could use the tube and mount a sewer grate over the end of the tube thereby sealing it and get the full effect of the steam.

If the project reaches higher levels we will look at creating a manhole type prop for the terrain.

Many international buyers have been asking if our Fog Monster power supply will work with 220v to 240v power. The answer is yes, and no need to buy a power converter, only a plug adapter to go from USA style plug to your local plug design.

Below are the power requirements for our Fog Monster

Output voltage : 24V DC

Input voltage : 110 - 250V

Wattage : 19W ( +/-1W )

The Fog Monster input voltage is 110 -250V, so if your voltage is 110 -250V, there is no need to buy a power converter for 110v to 220V.  You only need to adapt to the plug.

Below are examples of adapter plugs you should easily be able to find on line. We found these plugs available for around $5.00 and up USD.

We hope this helps reduce any confusion for our international buyers, now let's close that last 5% and let the Fog Monster loose!  ツ

We are still going strong and are pushing for the stretch goals. Thank you all for spreading the word to your friends and posting in the forums around the net. You are making it happen! With a few hundred more backers we can hit our first stretch goal, The Fog Works Pipe System.
