about 4 years ago – Thu, Feb 27, 2020 at 12:22:37 AM

Fog Monster 2 is a real breakthrough in tabletop game terrain. It is the first of its kind in design. As you know coming up with new innovations for tabletop gaming is never easy. We know there are many places you can get terrain and figures, so we try very hard to offer something you have never experienced before. Something that adds to the game.

We created a new teaser video with 4 feet of terrain and continuous steam powered by 1 Fog Monster and over 40 steam vents in our new Primordial Lava, And Primordial Earth Terrain. That is one powerful beast! This terrain should match perfectly with the 2x2 and 4x4 terrain you already own, so purchase a little or a lot for great steaming FX. Check it out.

You helped us to introduce real fog FX to the gaming community with Fog Monster 1 and now there is no turning back! Since we sold out on Fog Monster 1 we have received countless requests for a new version and we are happy to say Fog Monster 2 is ready to enter the gaming world with all new features!.

This time it's all about less condensation via Steaming FX. Fog Monster 2 can do all the same tricks as Fog Monster 1 but now the new remote controlled variable speed fan and our new "Steam Tile System" allows amazing steaming and geyser FX. And the best part is it does so with a focus on less condensation. In fact on high fan settings you may experience virtually no condensation.

Fog Monster 1 owners will receive a special upgrade package at a reduced rate so you will not need to purchase a new system from scratch.

(Psst, please help us spread the word!) Each new backer helps us to drive down manufacturing price so we can create more new innovations for gamers. One day we hope to be able to move into plastic injection mold pricing instead of resin as that will drive down costs significantly and we can pass that savings on to our customers.

We hope you join us as we kickoff!

Excelsior!

Fog Monster 2 Workshop. How to correctly make Fog work on your terrain. - Featuring our new Steaming Tiles to reduce condensation
about 4 years ago – Fri, Feb 14, 2020 at 11:27:44 PM

In this update we show how you can properly use Fog Monster 2 in our upcoming Kickstarter to get cool fog FX on your tabletop terrain with less condensation.

One thing that has helped since we created FM1 was the amount of feedback we got from our backers on how to improve the design. The new FM2 was designed with these changes in mind. Check out the new improvements and advanced features as we put FM2 through its paces.

Enjoy the video below. More to come!

Fog Monster 2 is Coming Soon to Kickstarter! Check out the Teaser Video
about 4 years ago – Thu, Feb 13, 2020 at 10:16:42 PM

Hello Monster lovers!

We have received many inquiries about the launch of Fog Monster 2 (FM2) and we are happy to say it is finally time to start revealing what we have been working on.

The new remote controlled Fog Monster 2 is a huge leap forward in our design for tabletop terrain Fog. We have listened to comments from our backers on what they wanted from the Fog Monster and have applied that feedback to Fog Monster 2.  After all, fog is fun but it must be practical in game. Notably, more fog, less condensation.

To that end we are proud to introduce Fog Monster 2 with our new "Steaming Primordial Terrain" tiles. These terrain tiles are specifically designed for FM2 and blend into your existing terrain. They come in two color schemes, Primordial Earth and Primordial Lava.

FM2 uses these new tiles to send Fog up into the air, dramatically reducing condensation build up. You can see them in the video below. If everything goes to plan we hope to release the project February 2020. Much more to come on this as we get ready to release details. In the meantime enjoy this quick teaser trailer showing the new Fog Monster 2 powering two 8" square terrain tiles.

Fog Monster 2 Update - The Monster with 2 heads is Coming Soon!
over 4 years ago – Sun, Oct 13, 2019 at 12:01:56 AM

The day has come when Fog Monster 1 has sold out. Yes "the  monster is dead, long live the monster!"

First a hearty thank you from all of us to all of you the backers who helped make the worlds first Fog Machine designed specifically for tabletop gaming. We owe it all to you, and the gaming community has benefited from the immersion of real fog effects.

Will you rise again to help us create an even greater monster?  We have continued to refine Fog Monster 2 and now have the new circuit board in hand so we wanted to update you on the latest developments. First, the all new Fog Monster 2 below.

The All New Fog Monster 2 Complete

Second, great news for Fog Monster 1 owners! The Fog Monster 2 "Power Head" will fit onto the Fog Monster 1 body and provide all the new features without having to buy a completely new fog machine.

Fog Monster 2 Upgrade Pack for FM1 Owners

A refinement of features. We had considered making a battery power pack for Fog Monster 2 but after much R&D we decided the running time of about 30-45 minutes was not practical for the added expense. Instead we created a smaller footprint for the wiring with one single wire now from the power supply to the Fog Monster. This will cut down on the clutter and give a much more robust power boost to create greater fog dispersion.

Reducing Moisture, and new New Fog Terrain. Some of you have asked about reducing the moisture produced by the fog. In our demo. video we will  be demonstrating a new Fog Pooling terrain piece that will help hold the fog so you can store the moisture in that specific area.  We will also be demonstrating how to use the new horsepower of FM2 to create vertical fog effects to help keep the moisture off the terrain.

New Powered Resin Terrain. We will be also be including the new Lightning Tower (if you liked the  Travelers Gate you will love this.) and a stretch goal for a new Steaming 4x4 tile piece we have created. This is a stand alone unit that puts out puffing steam for hyper-immersive live terrain.

In our next update we will be showing you live footage of the new FM2 in action featuring a dual pipe setup to demonstrate the new horsepower of Fog Monster 2 and all the possibilities that this will bring to tabletop gaming.

Last if you are a facebook user we just opened a new page for discussion so feel free to click here and drop in.

Wireless, Remote Controlled, Puffing, Fog Monster 2 Coming 2019 - 2X The Fog 2x The Fun!
almost 5 years ago – Wed, Jul 03, 2019 at 01:00:09 AM

You asked for it and we listened. Fog Monster 2 is coming and it's bigger and badder than ever!

We put out a poll for the most wanted features in a new Fog Monster and we think you are in for a treat with the new design.

Now you may be saying "But what about my old Fog Monster, do I really need two?" Have no fear! We are happy to say we have designed the new model to be able to swap heads with Fog Monster 1. Wot!?... A two head Fog Monster? Yes indeed no Fog Monster owner will be left behind! As a feature of Kickstarter 3 current Fog Monster owners may purchase the new Power Head separately giving FM1 all the features of the new model. New buyers of course will need to purchase the entire unit.

We also have a few surprises for you, with lots of new fog terrain coming as well.  We have not set the date yet as we are in full production with the Steam Pod from KS2 "Monsters of Nature" but we will make an announcement when it is time.  Check out the new features below and stay tuned for more updates!
