Real Game FX Gen Con 2017 Live footage. Fog Monster Open Air Testing on Dwarven Forge Village and Castle
over 7 years ago – Tue, Aug 22, 2017 at 12:11:13 AM

We are back from Gen Con and wanted to share a little pre-test footage of the Fog Monster Fog Machine on Dwarven Forge game terrain.

Sunday morning we did a little open air fog testing on the epic 11' long "Hydra" Hammered Game Table. This was on the spot just placing the Fog Monster behind the scenery with no attachments.

There was a lot of air stirring in the stadium, but as we were filming folks started to gather round and enjoy the show. We will post more later as we catch our breath from the just returning from the show toady. Enjoy!

New Add-Ons Now Available! - "Flexible Tubing Kit" and "Pressure Fan"
over 7 years ago – Thu, Aug 17, 2017 at 12:40:52 AM

We are happy to announce two new add-ons!

How do they work?

The "Flexible Tubing Kit" was created for those who want to use their own flexible tubes to direct the fog where they need it without having to use a rigid pipe system.

We are not supplying flexible tubing due to the added costs of shipping, but we recommend using a 1/2"OD x 1/4"ID latex rubber based tube for added flexibility. You should easily be able to source this locally.

Features:

  • (1) Revolver Cap w/ 5 holes for 1/2” OD tubing
  • (5) Rubber plugs
  • (1) 25mm Pressure Fan

To see how you can use the Flexible tubing kit watch this video below.

We are also offering the "Pressure Fan" as a standalone unit for those who want to use it with the rigid Fog Works Pipe Systems. The fan will be especially useful for those wanting to run Fog through extended lengths of pipe and/or need vertical steam type effects for manhole covers and the like.

To see how you can use the Pressure Fan watch this video below.

We hope you find these useful and we have put no limit on them so there will be plenty for everyone!

See you all from Gen Con!

All the best

Video Using Small Flexible Tubing For Volcanic Fog Vents - Possible Fog For Cardboard & Paper Terrain
over 7 years ago – Tue, Aug 15, 2017 at 11:26:16 PM

Small Flexible Tubing and Possible Fog For Cardboard Terrain Users!

Good News Everyone!

Today we answer some of your questions about how to use flexible tubing with your Fog monster Fog Machine. We had some latex tubing we were experimenting with earlier and put it to use to show how you can create awesome fog venting effects in small terrain pieces.

As you will see in the video it also gives hope to those who have cardboard type terrain as most of the fog goes up into the air and away from the ground. (Note, there will still be some fog that falls on the terrain but wise use of some impervious material in conjunction with the cardboard should help minimize it.)

This will all be made possible by the Fan Add On we will be offering for those who want to use smaller pipes.

Would you like an Add-On component for flexible 1/4" ID tubing to plug into? Let us know!

Pipe Dreams - Creating Add-On Pipe Packs For Fog On Large Tables.
over 7 years ago – Mon, Aug 14, 2017 at 11:28:38 PM

For those of you who have been requesting more pipe pieces we have put together a rendering of what would be a 4"x4" area and separated the pipe pieces so you can get an idea how many pieces that might consist of.

In the example below we use 1.75" Pipe consisting of 23 connectors, 6 elbows, 1 T-Pipe, and 17 lengths of 12" pipe. As you can imagine many will have different needs so this example is shown as a place to start the conversation.

We know you are also interested in venting that pipe network and we are looking into Manhole Covers and Steam oriented theme terrain pieces to fit the pipe, as well as Fans to move the Fog.

Based on your requests we are thinking that a "Pipe Pack" Add On at a per piece price may allow for everyone to select the number of pipe pieces they need.

We are looking at supplying clear PVC tubing for a 1" OD Pipe Pack and a 1.75" OD Pipe Pack Add On. We are keeping them to no more than 12" lengths as they will be shipping from overseas and would become more expensive to ship if they were longer.

Let us know your thoughts and we will prepare an Add On once we have our pricing complete.

That's a lot of pipe!
